Summer is coming...it is like the song of Mungo Jerry 'In the summertime when the weather is high.... You can stretch right up and touch the sky' ... in Lugano, especially weekend, you can find may tourists strolling along the lakeside. You can also see chevrolet-type-of-cars on the road...people are driving without the 'roof top'....
Saturday I visited San Gottardo, the border of Ticino Canton (Italian speaking region of Switzerland) and the German part. It was about one hour drive from Lugano. We went up to the mountain, not by foot but by car. The road leading to San Gottardo reminds me of the road to Tenom from KK ekekekeke...the sharp cornering is similar to that road to my kampung...alahaiii....tiba2 teringat balik Tenom ni....and guess what, there were still some snow patches in San Gottardo even during this summer season! We stopped by at Ipsizio, kinda a fishing area and also there is one small museum there. According to the waiter in the restaurant we dined in, during the winter time, the height of snow can be up to 9-13 meters!!! It was breezy and cold in San Gottardo. I was just wearing shorts because earlier from Lugano, the weather was that similar to the weather back home!! Panas yg menggigit kulit!!!!!! On our way back to Lugano from San Gottardo, we took the highway and drove through the 17km tunnel, which was built 'across' the mountain....which you would likely 'going into' the mountain. The speed limit is only 80km and no car is allowed to go beyond that limit. The velocity is very low.....and this made me feel like we are driving through a 70km tunnel!!
Sunday, my friends and I went swimming at the open space swimming pool in Lido. The swimming pool is located by the lake. There were so many people and it made the place overcrowded! People were sun bathing everywhere, on the sand, grass etc. Too pity because there is no beach in Lugano so people usually assume the lakeside and the swimming pool as beach hehehe... and it was my first time sunbathing..muahahaha... never before I did that in Malaysia!!! but it's a good experience though. There were four of us went there, reached around 3pm and got back home around 7pm. Now I feel my body is aching after being so 'enthusiastically' swimming hahaha...
